This is one of the Greece’s smallest, but also most amazing guesthouses. It is part of a larger early 19th century building which enjoys a magnificent setting on the rocks right above the sea. Xenon Apollonos itself has only three bedrooms: two overlooking the water (what a wonderful experience to fall asleep to the sound of the waves washing against the rocks) and a third that faces the inner courtyard. The bedrooms, as well as the shared spaces (a large sitting room opening to a small balcony over the sparkling water and a bar/breakfast room) are extremely tastefully styled. Thoughtfully chosen colour schemes, a mixture of antiques and comfortable modern furniture, and utterly stylish decoration make Xenon Apollonos the kind of place you find in interior decorating magazines. It is not only the spot-on décor, however, that makes this place so great. It is also the homely and warm-hearted atmosphere. Wonderful!
