Tony Mosiman, owner of the Sea Captain’s House (a tiny hotel with only three suites) recently added two small, self-catering houses to his ‘collection’. They are perfect if you want a combination of luxury and privacy, especially if you stay longer than just a couple of nights and want to be able to prepare a meal every once in a while. Villa Ambrosia is the more stylish of the two. With two double bedrooms (one without a window as it is dug deeply into the cliff, not for the claustrophobic types) it can accommodate two couples. The other, the House of Falling Stars, is slightly more traditional in style, but elegant and charming as well. It is open plan and can sleep up to four persons. Both houses have a terrace with an amazing view over the caldera.
