The Lotus Tree’, is a renovated mansion house dating from 1884, in the centre of Portaria. It was built by an Egyptian tobacco merchant in the Neo-classic style. It has 4 triple and 4 double rooms all built to the highest standards. Two rooms are designed with interconnecting doors to form a family room for up to 5. Each room is individually styled with concealed lighting, hardwood floors, beautiful bathrooms of granite, stone and mosaic tile, and features such as exposed wooden ceiling beams brought from Mt. Athos during the renovation. Half of the Hotel is devoted completely to guest space in order to ensure a more individual and relaxing experience, and luxury facilities such as the Lotus Spa are standard. Drinks from the Café-bar can be enjoyed on the café terrace with panoramic views to Volos or Makrinitsa or in the evenings in the large fireside lounge. As the Hotel is situated in the village centre, within a minutes walk of the main square and all amenities, visiting the local restaurants and cafes is also easy.
