Our place is located in Karyofito. The Upper and Lower Karyofito located in Xanthi, 12km north of Stavropol around and the valley of Nestos River and just 38km from the city of Xanthi.
Located at an altitude of 660m overlooking the valley of Nestos. The location of the Karyofito based on climatic conditions are the ideal place to live. Feature is that before the war, especially people with respiratory problems were frequent visitors and thamones traditional inns.

Today, the village has 162 inhabitants, 3 gefsignosia known for its restaurants, a traditional cafe and a mini market.

The region has in recent years a strong turnout of visitors alternative tourism because of its rare beauty and great historical and folkloric diversity recorded in it. It is characteristic that the Netherlands is classified as Karyofito torn village.
