Portaria is one of the picturesque villages of the legendary mountain Pilion, just 14 km from Volos, at an altitude of 650 meters, amongst huge trees and crystal clear water fountains, and a breathtaking view down to the city of Volos and the blue sea of Pagasitic Gulf.

Amongst the traditional and carefully kept buildings of the village, a stone cottage has just recently been refurbished and transformed into a lovely accommodation settlement offered as furnished country house for vacation rental.
