The traditional Cretan hostel 'Stratis' Litsarda in Apokoronas of Chania was built in 1909 by Stratis Pantelaki, hence the name. The reconstruction of the mansion began in 2000 and ended in 2004 after work and personal taste of the owner of Pantelaki Emmanuel. The wood and stone dominate almost everywhere, from the meticulously constructed roof finishes up the elaborate carvings on the stones. Thanks to careful restoration has managed to keep intact the traditional elements that must characterize the hostels in Apokoronas, which blends harmoniously with modern comforts.
