The Space

Arhontiko is an old mansion in the center of Anavryti. It is the perfect place for your expeditions to Taygetos, or for a relaxing weekend. The old mansion was build in 1932 by the doctor of the village and it was renovated in 2008 with a respect in tradition. It consists of 5 double ensuited rooms, each with its unique character. Thus we created a warm and family environment.

All our rooms have a balcony with a panoramic view to Taygetos and they are named after peaks and places near Anavryti.
Guest Access

Most of the trails in Taygetos cross Anavryti. Visitors also have access to the European trail E4. From here you can visit the Castle of Mystras in arround 30mins.

Interaction with Guests

In Arhontiko you will meet George, a Mountain guide and Alpinist for over 20 years, with great experience in Taygetos. George have all the information you are going to need for your adventure in Taygetos.

The Neighborhood

Arhontiko is located in a beautiful, old neighbourhood with traditional houses. To reach Arhontiko you ascend on an old path with steps which used to be the central road of the village. There is no car access to the building.

Getting around

There is a bus going from Sparti to Anavryti every Saturday morning and at noon. During the week, you can access Anavryti with a taxi.
